About NextGen Leadership
NextGen Leadership exists to equip young athletes with the tools to succeed beyond the game. Through focused mental training, leadership development, and mentorship, we create an environment where discipline, resilience, and teamwork thrive. Our mission is to prepare athletes for the next level of baseball—while instilling the life values that extend far beyond the field.
My Why
When I was a senior in high school, I tore my ACL—a moment that changed my life forever. The injury cost me the chance to play at a big school, and one by one, the recruiting calls stopped. What felt like an ending turned into the start of something greater.
I committed to play Division III baseball at Hamline University in St. Paul, Minnesota, where I became a three-year captain, two-time ABCA All-Region player, and ultimately achieved my dream of playing professionally with the St. Paul Saints. More importantly, I graduated with a degree in Finance, built lifelong friendships, and learned what true leadership means.
That journey taught me that success isn’t about the size of the school or the spotlight—it’s about maximizing your opportunity, working relentlessly, and leading with character. I’m grateful for that ACL tear because it forced me to grow, to take ownership of my future, and to prove that discipline and mindset can overcome any setback.
Today, I use those lessons to help the next generation of athletes navigate their own journeys—mentally, emotionally, and athletically. Dugout Leadership was built to give young players the guidance I wish I had: honest mentorship, real-world leadership training, and the confidence to thrive both on and off the field.
My mission is simple: to impact lives and prepare athletes not just for baseball, but for life after it.

“Nolan is a great role model for kids who want to play college baseball. I learned good qualities from him that will help in college and life in general. Things that college coaches look for that have nothing to do with baseball skills.”
